The date marks a very special occasion. We waited so long for this. As always, I will be very nervous and excited at the same time. A bag of mix feelings to be precise. I have been working so hard on this for over the years. I'm hoping to get a yes, and hope I will be taking to the heart. Being accepted will means the world to me, and hoping for a wonderful time together until the very end. I'm not hoping for a firework but I really really wants this to work.

Cliche? Like I'm about to propose on Valentine's Day which has been declared 'haram' by the religious board. No no I'm not, the truth is, 14 February 2011 marks the very 1st day my friend and I, 77 of us set foot in the classroom, become the teacher and probably start teaching in front of the class.6 years of training should do good for us but our inexperience might prove costly so we need to adapt fast, become extra hardworking and putting more effort to make this 10 weeks practicum a success. This year started with a bang.

Or some bangs.

Okay so where shall we start? First and foremost, I would like to make a simple announcement. I'm officially OFF the rack. Yes you heard it right, the ever single Awalludin is not single anymore. One of my new year resolutions is to make her says 'I do' and I excel in that. Yay! So in 2011, Udin is no longer a single sorry chap, but a loving boyfriend and hopefully a good future husband. Hehe. (Says who? I said that!)

Another wonderful thing happens, as the saying good things happen to those who wait. In my 4 years of degree, I only got on the dean's list once. Refer here. And I never expected to emulate it again. The papers are becoming harder and I'm becoming slower (or bengap-er). But to my surprise, I strike again, and this time, I got way higher than before. Maybe this is a rezeki from ALLAH, I'm truly grateful. So in this opportunity, I would like to thank all my friends, especially my group mates from various group works that contribute a very significant impact to the final CGPA. Change - 2010 in Review

I change every time - my friend's bio on her Twitter, I merely quote.

That thing happens to me too. I don't really change every time but still, I changed. And in the wonderful year of 2010, some things has changed.

So this year, is nothing like I expected and nothing like previous years. Bidding farewell to UUM and to my eventful university life, and turn up in Penang to finish my last year of degree. Awfully long, I know. Life in Penang hasn't change much, with the frequent visit to the malls, the beaches and the mamak stall.

Love life? I hope this is interesting to read. In April, I knew this wonderful girl, became good friend and after we met for the first time, we fell in love. Voila! But, it only lasted for a month. I let her go. Why? Because she was dating with someone else at that moment. I knew it, knew that she is someone's girl while we met but at that time, I was craving for someone and she came knocking. I truly loved her because I can see in her eyes, she truly love me. But as she said, we met at the wrong time and I know we won't last forever. I don't have the heart to ask her to leave her boyfriend for me so I decided to let her go. It was not the easiest thing to do but I manned up and after few months, both of us moved on and I'm grateful for that. For Nurul, if you read this. Meeting you was not a mistake. I truly cherished it and thanks for everything, you gave me hope to keep hoping that one day someone will love me as I am.

And she is right.

While I was nursing my paper heart that still bleed from the break-up, along come another wonderful woman. She helped me get back on my feet, believe in myself, give me reason to wake up and smile to face the world. She respects me, like me as I am and without taking too much time, I'm back as old me. Jovial. Always smiling and joking around. I have her, someone for me to share my happiness and sadness. Someone that I hope will be in my life forever...

What's the change? Nothing extra ordinary. I guess I have changed in the way I see life. We change according to the situation, to the decision we have to make, to the option we have at our disposal. That's way, we changed. I'm no different. Early 2010 Udin will proudly say "I'm not getting married before I reached 27" but now if you ask me, I will probably say I want to get married in 2011, or maybe 2012. Sorry Barney, I've violated lesson number 3 "Don't even think of getting married till you're 30". Hehe . Why? Because early 2010 Udin doesn't have a concrete idea what the marriage will be. He was worried the marriage will slow him down, worried that if he has a family on his own, he won't be able to fulfill his responsibility to his parent. But the present Udin knows, he has nothing to worried because what in his mind now is the girl that he chooses to become his future wife won't stop him from fulfilling his duty to the family. I changed because I have found one. Another example, the old me would say "no kids in my first 2 years of marriage" but now I really want a twins! You can blame it on my cousin because last raya, he went around kampung visiting relatives with his really cool wife and their twins. So sweet. I wanted a family right away! So you see, circumstances make us change. And another example, why am i talking about marriage non-stop? Because I'm getting older, I will be 24 years old in the few hours so with age, come maturity, maybe.

Ever wonder what happen to our body after our time is up (read:DEAD)?

Well, basically speaking from a layman point of view, (with a bit of reading, of course) few minutes after we exhale our last breath, the heart will stop beating and the heart will stop breathing. The cells in our body will stop receiving blood and oxygen. Our organs and tissues will stop working one by one (may vary) and later our body will decomposed. Our precious organs and tissues will rot and die with us as well, what a waste considering we already don't need it!

Some statistics:

11 000++ patients still waiting for organ and tissue transplants
11 000 patients are waiting for kidney donation, 25 patients for liver, 6 patients for heart, 4 patients for lung and 3 patients for both heart and lungs
147 092 already registered to donate their organs - less than 1% of Malaysia total population

If we pledge to donate our organs and tissues, we won't lose anything. Yes I know we lose our organs and tissues but we don't need them anymore because we are no longer alive! And yes for my fellow Muslim out there, there is no problem with donating our organs and tissues. Check the statement here and for other religions here. If we donate two kidneys, we can save the life of four people. That's a lot and it is so wonderful to think that our unfortunate demise will save the life of others, how beautiful. We die contributing something. So make up your mind now and you can save other by pledging to donate your organs, ONLINE here. I've registered!

Few steps to be taken after you register. Make sure you inform your family about your intention and tell them how noble their son/daughter is by pledging to become organ donor. Tell them that it is your gesture of departure from the world by allowing your good organs and tissues to continue serving other people and help them to carry on their live. Part of you will still alive and always be remembered for the good deeds. Family consent is very important because even though you already pledge to donate organs but still they have the rights to stop the procedure. So it is very important to tell them and get their consent as well.

Thanks for all the blog-walkers, I owe this entry to you guys. And also to Shikin because she keeps on pushing me to update my blog.

Mini update: Life's been crazy. I hate my minor subject. I can't wait to work. Love life? We had a little chat during my birthday and we are friend again. She asked me, nay, she urged me to go after the girl that care for me, and when I decided to follow her advice, she pulled her rod again and suddenly I found myself on her hook again. I'm hooked.I hope I can get away from her hook and embark on a new love life. Till then, let's wait.

And yeah, about my other girlfriend. I'm waiting for her to come down to Penang this weekend. I'll be waiting and meeting her at Queensbay Mall. Make sure you catch her too. Mark your calender, it is 24th October 2010, Queensbay Mall, 12 pm - 3 pm. Here is the snippets of who she might be.

I haven't been updating my blog for a while. No entry at all for July. It was a hectic month and a sad one as well, so I better keep it to myself that than whining it up here.

I'm now back in Penang for my last year of degree. Back to basic, back to the old college, climbing up and down the hills just to get to the class. No complain though as Penang is much better than UUM, travel wise an yeah, it is much closer to my home.

So back to the title, loser eh? It is not the first time I feel this but it has been stronger for the past few weeks. It all started when we had a dinner in our lecturer's house, like a homecoming dinner for us after spending 2 years in UUM. So she wanted to know our updates, what we are up to and the favorite question, single or in relationship. so we take turns to tell our updates where I realized most of my classmate has found their love when we were in UUM. And when it comes to me, well my answer will be 'still single and looking for trouble'. It was a pretty sad thing to tell to be honest.

I predicted earlier on that, when I come back to Penang, I will start looking for love, like I used to. But after a month here I realized, I don't have the urge to do that anymore. And when I see some of my friends already going out with someone here, I feel like a loser. But the truth is I don't go for it like them. I really feel like now I don't have to have someone special yet. Why? Because it is not necessary and I have to admit here, I'm a commitment freak. I can't be in a relationship for now. I am definitely not ready for it. Financial wise, period.

And yes, after you have to stop loving someone you love the most, you definitely don't feel like taking another chance with others right? Not now.

I'm waiting for your call.

Like the lovely song above, I'm dying to listen to her voice. It's been awhile since the last time we speak. I've been going through some very depressing situation and everything I do is for her. There is no more 'we', only 'I' and 'she' and I want the best for her, even it means I'm the one having to deal with 40 kinds of sadness.

Everything I see reminds me of her, such a cliche. Hehe. The white car, the songs, the cupcakes, the bangles, YM, Skype and every single detail that make my head spins. I think it is pretty normal for a guy to suffer after a break up. Relationship hangover.

I thought I gonna handle this well. Well, I'm proven wrong. No such thing as easy break-ups. Even though I know it will come and I prepared myself, the outcome is still pretty much the same. I'm devastated, suffering from a severe 'I-Miss-You-Come-Back-To-Me-Please' syndrome. I have to find a cure.

Don't call me, I will be fine. Time will tell.

What I Miss About Us

Good things never last, at least for me.

The good part of it is I foresee it so I was prepared for this moment.

A month of awesomeness, only a month but I enjoy the moments to the fullest, I seized the day, seized the chance with both hands and never regret it.

Some of the things I miss about us:

· I woke you up every single working day exactly at 6.15 am. Sometimes you wake up earlier but sometimes my calls fail to wake you up and you end up late going out to work. Get a really loud alarm clock after this okay.

· Our first date. It was so hard to say goodbye and let you go.

· Every time I uttered my cliché sentences, you will say that I bluff. But I know, you were swayed by my cliché.

· To discover that your feeling for me is genuine and it was you who started to acknowledge it first.

· Your driving skills. What on earth a KL driver asks me for directions every time you were uncertain about where to go, most of the time. I would love to be your co-pilot again though. A certain joy ride.

· The way you look at me. It’s haunting. I swear I never felt that way before. My hair tingles.

· The way I carried myself in this relationship. I feel I did well, I certainly became a real me in this relationship, way better than I was in two previous relationships. The secret is you. Your maturity allow me to become a real me, sometimes too childish and acts like a child and sometimes take a lead. We compliment each other well.

· I love when I hear or see you giggle. It spurred me to crack more jokes, just to see you laugh and happy.

· Our weekend. You are the reason I went to my moral class without night sleep. You are also the reason I always pumped up and all smile during that class on Sunday.

· How anxious I was every night to wait 12 o’clock so I can call you, have a nice chit-chat and bid you goodnight. Trust me I never feel so anxious to wait for midnight and 6.15 am and I will never will after this.

· We are perfect for each other, but the time and the situation is never on our side.

How to Ruin Your Girl's Day 101

#32 - Send a weirdly pose picture of yourself early in the day.

#45 - Ask her to turn off the radio while she is driving to work in the morning and ask her to put her phone on loudspeaker. You definitely can do better in babbling and singing off-tune songs than hitz.fm announcers and their songs selection. Heck you can try pulling a prank on her while she is stuck in the traffic jam.

#12 - Call her at the exact same time every single day. Make it a routine and one day, try call her let say 5 minutes early from the usual time and say 'I can't wait 5 more minutes to hear your angelic voice'.

#87 - Tell her you barely miss her. You only miss her smile, her smell, her touch, her hair, her voice, her giggle, her glare and that's all, nothing much.

#61 - Call her in the middle of the night while she is sleeping and say ' I wanted to hear your voice while you are asleep, sweet as always though, get back to sleep then, I'm missing you a little bit here'.

#55 - Wake her up every single day without miss. Listening to your voice is enough to ruin her day!

Old Story New Movie

The other day, my best buddy and I were having a conversation when she suddenly pop up a question

'bila cerita Lagenda Budak Setan keluar ek?'. And then for next 30 minutes we spent the time discussing and reminiscing the story that we both read at our early ages, and weep like there is no tomorrow

I'm one of few guys who reads Malay novels. Well blame my 3 sisters, after I finished school they pass me their collection of Malay novel and their only brother has turn on the sensitive side of him for far too much.

Anyway, I believe many of you guys out there read this novel also right? And in awe of how great their love is. We have our own portrayal of the story and now the long awaited movie will finally grace the silver screen. I am not expecting fireworks here but hey, I would love to see this movie in the cinema. I might bring my 3 sisters along, well along with their children and weep together. He he.

So enjoy the trailer. Woo Lisa Surihani just stole my heart once again. Lucky Farid Kamil, always got the chance to hug her. I'm jealous.

Raja Drama

I haven't been writing much lately.

Well you can blame on my hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.

Anyway, in the mean time, as you guys already know, I spend most of my time in front of my PC. I'm hooked with TV series! Sorry great box office movies, now I feel staring at the monitor for 1 1/2 hours is torturous

and excruciating. 20 minutes or 40 minutes for an episode of TV series suits me well.

My obsession towards How I Met Your Mother is very well known and documented, well you can check here and here. I go 'ohhh' and 'wahh' everytime Dr. Gregory House and his team solve their patients' disease riddle, so yeah, I'm an avid follower of House as well, now in season 6, I'm craving for the latest episode. I do enjoy Flashforward as well, a show of sci-fi and thriller put together, kind of similar to LOST but heck, this one is compelling enough for me to wait for every new episode. CSI series never failed to amuse me, I think every single episodes is fascinating for me, but I prefer the original CSI with Grissom and CSI:NY than CSI:Miami. But still if playing in AXN, I will still hooked and one thing about CSI, I just can't take my eyes from the screen and from the subtitle. Or else I will lost. So if suddenly I reply a message saying 'I'm off to bed' at 11.30 p.m, I might just say it to focus on the show. And the latest series that gets everyone buzzing and humming is Glee. By now, all gleeks is waiting for the second half of the first season and we can't wait for April 13th to come. After every episode I watch, I will surely open my 'Karaoke' folder and sing. This show just make you wanna sing!

One thing I still couldn't chew, what the heck with their TV programme schedule? Why a series supposedly slotted on Mondays 2000 ET/PT (HIMYM) got no new series for a fortnight?? Why a series has a mid season hiatus? And why take a break for winter olympic? Well, we definitely don't know how their TV works aren't we? We just wait haplessly in this part of the world waiting for a new episode. Yeah, I'm a drama king.

I'm taking a series of rhythmical steps of life.

Well, my year doesn't started well, but things started to improve. I'm glad.

I did mention about submitting a resume to NST for their U-Phoria, right? Check this entry.

I waited for quite some times before I submitted my first article. Maybe my life was kinda messy at that time I don't really know what to do. But after I submitted my first article, which is previously published in this blog and also one of my favorite, Swing Swing, and straight away being uploaded to the web portal and Facebook page, I was so pumped up. This is what I always wanted to do. This is an opening I wanted. And I will take this chance and try to shine on, kick start my dream, not to be wipe away by my my noble future career.

13th February, 2010. I stroll down the 'pasar malam' buying something fattening to eat, and took a glance on the DVD seller. After shuffling through the titles, I stumble across a movie entitle 'New York, I Love You' with a nice cover and without hesitation, I bought it. I never come across this movie yet the casts name on the cover are big enough for me to watch this movie.

So on the eve, I watch this movie in my room, alone. It's fascinating how I enjoy this movie because I don't have any preconception about this movie so I let the story take me where it goes. With the all-star casts, which includes Bradley Cooper (this guy seems to appear on all all-star movie, remember 'He's Just Not That Into You' and 'Valentine's Day'?), Natalie Portman, Shia LeBeouf, Blake Lively, Ethan Hawke, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Maggie Q, Andy Garcia, Olivia Thirlby, Emile Ohana, and Shu Qi (OMG I love her!) just to name the stars.

Some of them only appears for less than 10 minutes. They have their own story, somehow intertwine with other stories, sometimes they are not, Too bad. The story involving Orlando Bloom and Christina Ricci is developing nicely and it just stop there. At the end of the story I realized this movie have at least 10 directors directing their own segment. No wonder some of the story died just like that. All in all I love this movie, maybe because of the cast or maybe make me feel 'something' on the eve.

Barney Stinson

Well, most people watch this series just to see Barney's antics. Self professed womanizer and serial sleeper, everybody wish to be like him. I am no different. Who wouldn't right? Hehe. Anyway, after watching this series, I'm so hook up with Barney's prosopopoeia that I found myself asking for 'bump' every time I make a weird joke, have a fond for wearing blazer anytime I see fit (well, I don't own a suit yet, blazer is the closest to suit that I own, so blazer up!), try adhering to the 'bro code', fall for Robin since the pilot episode (and subsequently to her boobs), used to be naive, and have a very different ideas about relationship, because I am (or want to be) legen...wait for it...dary! So, have you met me? I'm awesome!

Ted Mosby

No matter how hard I try or anybody tries to be as cool as Barney, no we are not Barney and we can't be him. We have been left at the alter (or left anywhere), said 'I Love You' too early, thinking someone is 'the one' but they are not or the other way round, will do everything for love (rain-dance;check, big teddy bear;check, delivered a bouquet of flower on valentine's day that cost 10 folds;check, wait the whole day for the girl to pass by just to see her smiles;check), and many more. Some disturbing finding though, now I realized I have been correcting people, most notably grammar mistakes and factual mistakes. Example, someone's status on Facebook stated 'I'm died', I will comment 'it should be I'm dying or I'm dead'. Annoying right if people keep on correcting you, so I will learn not to straight away correcting people, I don't want (or don't want to admit) to be called a cut from the same cloth as Ted Mosby.

Robin Scherbatsky

A hottie in this series. I'm not her in any ways but something that I can relate to her now is the unwillingness to commit to a relationship. Naah, I don't have any to deal with anyhow, but if the issue persists, I will back off just like her for some reason. Don't worry I'll explain in the next episode, or err, next entry,

Marshall Eriksen and Lily Aldrin

They are the best couple ever that none of us want to be. Super adorably cute and loyal to each other. Geez, what a fairy tale. Their affection to each other has become a joke for their friends so I don't want to be like them. Marshall is like a dog, easily freaks out and eat a lot to control his emotion. But I love the term lawyered though. And I like to sing every time I'm happy as well, so that's my only connection with Marshall. Lily on the other hand is pictured as the most morally inclined member of the five-some, yet she is a kindergarten teacher, what on earth it could happen? Oh wait, I'm a future teacher so I reserved my comment on her. Hehe. All in all, they are both cute in their own ways. Yay!

So,for those who hasn't watch this series, go and get it anywhere you can. It is seriously a fun to watch and teach me about relationship in great length and details. High Performance? Yes We Are!!

25 January will be a day to remember for all JENANIANS. Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, which is also an Education Minister announced 20 High Performance School or Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi (SBT). An our beloved school, is in the list. After the dissappointment on being left out in the cluster school system, now our school has returned to the glory day when we are well known as one of the top school in Malaysia.

One of the main advantage comes with the SBT status is the school is given autonomy to run the system, from the core business of producing the first class students until giving the school administartion with the full control on the hiring and firing staff. The power is enormous, gigantic and the responsibility to live up to the expectation. Hopefully, they will rise to the occasion and deliver.

Some of the major advantages:

Flexible in teaching and learning, as well as the syllabus for core and elective subjects.
Can determine the medium of interaction in the classroom.
Extend the schooling period.
Excellent students may be able to finish the schooling a year early.

After the announcement, almost all of us JENANIANS cheers with the news. And then we started to leave comments on Facebook, tagged every JENANIANS we know in the pictures and the news articles about SBT. We don't finish there, in the class, I sat besides my friend since Jenan years, Zulfariezi Che Kob and start discussing about the SBT and it didn't stop there, we reminiscene about the good and oh-not-so good moments in Jenan. All the bad things we do (I don't have many so Bapir is the champion), all the girls we know, the teachers and the principal and so much more. Even the story of Kak Mah also surfaced. Hehe. Hye guys, you see, I rarely talk about education. I scored so-so in every semester, I hardly study (the only time you guys can see me studying is the last 2 weeks of every semester, which goes by the name study week), I'm usually daydreaming in the class (but I never sleep in class, rarely), not too good participating in class discussion and not a good presenter.

Okay, this will be my last semester in UUM, after this I will be shipped back to Penang to finish our final year plus practical. I only have 4 subjects (plus co-curriculum) which means my class hour is 12 hours per week (plus 2 hours for co-curriculum which will be dragged to 4-5 hours according to activitiy we are force to do). It is supposed to be very light and I will have more time to focus on each and every subjects. But until this point I haven't give my 100% to academic purposes yet, because of a very simple reason, we haven't receive our allowance yet. What is the connection? Well, without money, we are in distress and we can't focus on anything, especially academic stuff. So lets pray for our allowance to come in and I'm ready to focus on my study. I promise (after I get the allowance I will splash the money on a brand new pc, which I will spend endless hour watching HD movies and playing Football Manager 2010)

So here is a sneak peaks on my subjects that I will have to endure at least until April, with the task I'm supposed to do throughout the course.

Co-Curriculum - Social Service

Well, don't puke. I know how bad it sounds but believe it, it is worse than it sounds. Okay, the first things that irritate me is we are already in the sixth semester and still need to attend Ko-K (nama manja). In UUM, all students need to take Ko-K, for four(4) semesters, and usually the students will start taking it from the first semester and they will finish it in their fourth semester, or some people started in second semester and will finish in their fifth semester, top. But we, as weird as we can be, start taking Ko-K in the third semester (because we spend our first and second semester in Penang, we were the offshore students) thus we only will be able to round up our Ko-K this semester. Pheww. We are the oldies and still dress in Ko-K attire. Apart from that, our Ko-K tasks are too demanding and need a lot of money, time and commitment. First, we have to do some tasks, which required us to go to two schools, a primary and a secondary school and do some 'Fun with English' day. Second, for our official outdoor activity (goes by the name Kegiatan Luar Kampus, KLK) we have to organize and participate in more in depth social service where we will go to some 'kampung' and held various activities, especially in giving more exposure about the usage of English to the rural children. That will be in February where we will be going to Kampung Kuala Kerpan, Jerlun, Kedah and stays with the 'kampung' folks. I will enjoy it, I promise. The third one is we are going to handle the Co-Curriculum integration day, and I still don't know yet what we are having. I offer my condolescene to all party that involves, at least I'm not responsible to handle any of these things and I'm relief.

VERDICT: SUPER LAME

Moral Issues

This is my minor paper that I have to take. Minor means another subject that I can teach in school, my second option. We have the chance to choose either to take Physical Education or Moral Education as our minor and I chose Moral Education and oh boy, I regret this. Why? Because all the papers for Moral Education is totally uninteresting, harder to score than PE papers, theories and philosphies I need to memorize and all the people behind those funny thoughts such as Immanuel Kant, Lawrence Kohlberg, Noam Chomsky, Howard Gardner, Karl Heinz Rummenigge, Marco Van Basten, James Stewart, Paul Newman, Bakhtiar, Amarol, just to name a few (and some are not philosophers). The papers are quite the same but with different name and lecturers throughout the years. Back to this paper, it is suppose to be the last and hardest paper of all moral papers but still, we are discussing the same thing and to my surprise the assignment is also the same as last year paper. I'm sure I will recycle my previous assignment for the second time. Duhh. The only positive note about this class is it is a mass lecturer class and I can see some decent girls on the lecture halls and I'm happy just to attend the lecture and spend my 3 hours per week looking at those girls while chatting with my friends.

VERDICT: SO LAME

Action Research

We learn about how to conduct research. But not just ordinary research where we distribute questionnaire and tarbulated the data and finally come out with rather unflattering finding such as '90% of male respondents only shower once a day' but we need to play an active role in that research. Don't scratch your scalp yet. Explanation: We find a problem, we come out with a hypothesis, we conduct the research and at the same time do some intervention to the research subject based on our hypothesis. We observe and look at the end product, if our hypothesis is prove, the intervention is going well and we score. If the end product is not we desired for or no improvement, the hypothesis is wrong and we need to start over. Kinda confusing, I know. We need to go and find a school, do some teaching and conducting a research based on our teaching. It is sure a very messy and hard task, but we are up for it.

VERDICT: LAME

Measurement and Assessment In Education

It's a 3-hours lecture and during the noon. This subject is about how a teacher should measure and assess the performance of the students, mainly about preparing and calculating the test and examination. We as a student hates examination right? In this subject I learn that the teacher is feeling the same way too. The teacher needs to prepare ample question, from various topics and various difficulty levels, and put them appropriately and accordingly. After the exam, the teacher needs not only to mark, but turbulated the data so the teacher can improve the next test. Whoa! No examination if I become the Education Ministry, hehe. This subject takes us back to our SPM year when we were fighting tooths and nails with Add Math subject.We have to do lots of calculation and I'm not good at calculation at all, but still that keeps me awake in the class, so no complaint. The project of this subject is we are required to come out with a perfect test scheme, from zero to the end. Viola. Looking forward to the ending.

VERDICT: QUITE LAME

Sociolinguistic

What is sociolinguistic?According to asnwer.com, sociolinguistic is the study of language and linguistic behavior as influenced by social and cultural factors. I'm pretty interested with anything that has to do with 'socio' but the word 'linguistic' doesn't go well with me at all. But hey, I'm interested, at least a bit. We learn why we the human being speaks in some way, about the dialect and accent. And why the same old person talk differently in different surrounding and with different people. Why Nazmi, the ill-famed boy from Besut speaks general BM with other people but suddenly will speak in Bahasa Terengganu (Bahasa Terengganu is a language, Nazmi, 2010) when he knows that lady is from Terengganu, just an example. What excites me is we have to do a project, some sort of research. We work in pair and have been given four topics to choose from. Gender difference, code-switching, greetings and leave taking, and taboo words. You heard me, TABOO WORDS. Yes, I pick that topic instantly. I need to go around, sneak around with a notepad and maybe a voice recorder just to collect every single taboo words being spoken around. For example, I will pick a guy who have a proven track record of having a wonderful way of conveying words, especially when in frustation and anger. Okay, I will have a go at people who often curse and swear as part of my research. I will take down note about his/her gender, upbringing, situation, the audience and everything that is related to the research and brake it down on why he/she speaks that way or utter those taboo words. If he/she utter the taboo words in other language other than English, I need to translate it. For example, if my respondent is uttering 'pegi mampos la wei'. I need to translate it to 'go to hell' and explain why the respondent utter such words, the build up, the situation, and does the respondent says the same things with other group of audience. I need to scrutinize it bit by bit. And if the respondent says 'butuh', I will translate it to 'male genitalia' and the rest, you know the drill. Hey I don't mean to curse but this will be on my assignment later so why not I share with you guys right. I'm pretty excited to start this assignment and stumble into this websites noswearing.com and International Cursing and Swearing Dictionary that will probably help me on this project. And if I do this well enough, I might get an A for swearing so much in my academic writing. Hehe.

VERDICT: AWESOME!

So there are the subjects I will face in the next two or three months. I was thinking on writing a little bit shorter but I just love to give the details, I don't really know if you guys love it but hey, I love to write. This entry is longer than Anis Izatty shortest entry so maybe I need to tone down a bit after this. Hehe. Yep, it is 10th January 2010. I took 10 days into the New Year to post an entry. Not too late to wish Happy New Year 2010. And yes, if you ask me how old I am, I will answer you “I’m 23 this year, but wait until September to formally claim that”. Geez, I’m getting old, so does everybody right? Teenage life is a distant memory. Welcome to adulthood, more responsibility and needed more money. Bla bla bla.

2010 is my last year of experiencing varsity life (at least as an undergraduate). Very short lived by the way, only 2 years not like other people, but I’m grateful of that. What I’m looking forward this year is to be back in Penang in July. Penang, here we come. Back to civilisation perhaps. UUM is not a bad place either. But still we prefer Penang. 2010 might not be as colourful as 2009 perhaps but I don’t mind though, I think I have enjoyed much and suffer much in 2009 so eventless 2010 doesn’t sound too bad.

For the 1st 10 days of 2010, I spent much time in the room, comparing to my roommate who only come back to change clothes and sleep, he is very busy by the way and it seems that I have 29 hours per day. I have watched close to 25 movies these 10 days alone, where I can watch as mush as 4 movie title in a day, that tells you a lot right on how free I am. I guess that will go that way until the end of the year. On a good note, I won’t miss any box-office movies anymore and can catch most of the good TV series (I missed Prison Break and Gossip Girl altogether since Season 1, pity me).

So nothing much to say, just hoping this year will bring me prosperity ~~burger~~ and I will become financially stable, at last. On the love-relationship part I don’t expect much change but I’m a bit content with my situation now so no problem for me if thing stay this way. However, if the situation does change, to the better, I will be grateful for that. So have a joyful 2010! Tschutzz.

Don’t Look Back In Anger – 2009 in Review

So here we are, on the last day of colourful 2009. Another year past by, another one is looming and we are hoping for nothing but good fortunes. In 2009, the great MJ pass away, Lance Armstrong made a come back, Malaysia football team won a gold medal (at last), Liverpool emerge as a title contender and sink deeper within months, Kris Allen is the 8^th winner of American Idol (which I can confirm you that in 2050 if I wrote this kind of entry again I will mention the winner of American Idol 49), Fahrin Ahmad dumped (again), government decided to phase PPSMI by 2012, Malaysian is so hook up with the word ONE (ONE Malaysia, ONE Food, ONE Bazaar, ONE Toilet etc.) and many eventful events that will take me years to jot down every single things that happen in 2009. So let’s scale it down and see what happens to me instead, shall we?

This year started with a bang (so cliché). There’s a monkey on my back calls responsibility, to serve people, to sacrifice everything for the good of others, and yeah to tell you the truth, I do enjoy my time with all the responsibility. It’s hard to juggle between study and extra curricular activities that take a lot of time, money and passion but I survived, I think. Love life? Started with so much hope but like always, hit stonewall in the process. Dead end. We broke up in February. I was in the period where everything turns upside down for me. Where should I start? My car broke down and I forked out my own pocket money, RM 1.5k to repair it, even though it wasn’t me who drove it and it happens during orientation week for new student and I gave my car for people to use, HEP refuses to pay. I was hit with a strong fever for two weeks and it turns out to be a dengue fever and admitted to hospital for 5 days. It was the same time I had a big problem with her and eventually we broke up shortly after that. I was carrying the pain and the only thing I really crave for is her to be by my side, and sadly, she wasn’t there. (Click here for details)

After all the negativities, I finally can get over the bad patch and moving on. I started to go out with girls again, have some fun, flirting around and etc etc. Hehe. I lay my eyes on a new girl, pursuing her with unmatched efforts but still to no avail. Haha. Unlucky in love, that is me. But still I cherished my life though; in pursuit of happiness I’ll do anything, anything. And suddenly I found my purple patch. I went to Bali, had a little sightseeing, then I was chosen to represent UUM to a homestay programme and youth forum in conjunction of Conference of Commonwealth Education Minister (CCEM 17^th) in Melaka and Kuala Lumpur. I was not chosen at first but after some withdrawals, I sneak in and seriously, it was the best thing that happens to me this year. It was an international event, Commonwealth level and I’m not only representing UUM but also Malaysia. I meet lots of new friends, gathers new found knowledge, built up my confidence to a new level and so much more. And to put the icing on the cake, later that month I found that my exam result is out and I got the all time high score, and I’m on the dean’s list (Click for more details). For the first time ever and seriously I think that will be the last. Haha. You can punch me if I got another. So all I can think of is, ALLAH only tests us as far as we can take, ALLAH will never let us carry something that we won’t be able to handle. In BM, ALLAH tidak akan sekali-kali menduga hamba-Nya lebih dari yang mampu ditanggung.

After 360 days (nearly a full year) of serving the people and university, do all the unpaid duty, we were released from the duty on 10 October 2009. I was relieved; the monkey that I carried throughout the years is gone. No more waking up early to go to HEP or other offices, no more staying up late to attend countless meeting, no more skipping classes for events, no more. But that means, no more happy trips, no more glamorous banquets, no more conferences, no more rubbing shoulders with Datuks and Tan Sris, no more front row seats, no more first-class treatments all the way, no more. (Eh, it seems that the good things are more than the not-so good things that I’m waving goodbye now, aha). But it is the period to remember, where I never had that before and hopefully won’t stop here, InsyaAllah. I do had a post-MPP jitters where suddenly my discipline is up for question. I skip classes a lot after relinquishing the post, I don’t know why but heck; I should not let it happen again. I did my examination without proper preparation and the result is as expected, drop a bit but still in average, average me. Hehe. And then it comes to the longest holiday I ever had as long as I can remember. It is a usual holiday but this holiday seems so awfully long. I’m home for one whole month, broke and had nothing to spend so I shy away from the civilization and keep myself in my home for entire holiday. The result? Taraa, big, inflated and even rounder Udin. Hehe. No worry though, I learn enough from ‘The Biggest Loser’ and I will put the knowledge to practice, I wish.

So that’s it. My colourful year in my colour blind eyes’ point of view. What I cherished the most this year is I found a true friend which I can share problems and thoughts and comfortable to spend time together. And another thing is I might find my wifey-to-be, if not the person itself but maybe the personality . So let us see what 2010 have in store for us. Till we meet again.

RED Is The Colour

Eventhough I'm a colour-blind, but for some it is an open secret that my favourite colour is RED. At one point in my life (spanning over whopping 2 years) I only buy red apparels, nothing but RED. Pathetic, I know. So when I know about the campaign, I'm interested to know more and how we can help. It is call (PRODUCT) RED (click here), a project which is a brainchild of U2's Bono and his friend. It is aim to help to raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Simply put, to help our brothers and sisters who are suffering from those diseases, mostly in Africa so they can have a better life. How they work? Simply by getting world's renowned brand to create and sell their special edition products in the name of (PRODUCT) RED. Then some/most/all the profits will go straight to the fund. For example, if you buy an iPod Nano (PRODUCT) RED, which cost the same as usual iPod Nano, the money generated from the sale will contribute to the fund and it will helps billion of people who are in dire need of help. So visit the website to know more okay. Actually, that's my contribution so far because I have not buy any (PRODUCT) RED yet, maybe in the future if I stumble into it.

So, December 1st has past 2 days ago, maybe some of us know and maybe some of us don't realize that 1st December every year is declared as World AIDS Day, and being celebrated around the world. The (PRODUCT) RED I mentioned above also one of the project that is significant to the World AIDS Day. Today as I read The Star newspaper I realized that we take HIV/AIDS for granted. We know how deadly the disease is yet we have not taken any measure to curb it, as we can't do anything about it. Some shocking fact from The Star, from the research conducted by Bayer Schering Pharma in conjunction of World Contraception Day. Research done in Malaysia sampling 200 respondents aged 18-21.

One third of Malaysian aged 18-21 have already had sex.
One third of 200 respondents have had sex before the age 21.
30% did not talk about contraception before sex.
30% did talk but with certain difficulty.
50% of the girls have already had sex without contraception

So now, based on that I can assume we (teenagers/young adults) have indulged in a lot of pre-marital and unsafe sex, which is against our culture and religious. I have friends, which openly confess their involvement in such activities. I know it is now common among us now, no matter you are Malay, Chinese or Indians. Okay, it is clearly against our religion and culture, but please, if you are actively involve, please consider to limit the damage by practising safe sex. Wear protection, such as wearing helmet while riding a motorcycle. If you subsequently 'slipped', your head is protected for more serious injury, you got what I mean. So here I'm not promoting free sex or pre-marital sex, I'm opposed it because it is against my religion. But if you happen to happen to practice it, make sure it is safe. If you feel buying condom in 7 Eleven is embarrasing or no vending machine selling condom in Sintok, you can always buy those stuff online and it will deliver to your doorstep. Nice idea? Okay don't ask me which website offers such services. Hehe

And another thing, if you are actively involve in the games without using contraception, please brave yourself and surrender yourself to the nearest clinic that offer confidential AIDS test. Some of the clinics even have pre and post test counselling to make sure you are in the good shape before and after getting your result. So what is the need to go through this nerve wrecking test? Well, as i said before, if you have indulged in such activities that put yourself vulnarable to AIDS, this test will determine where you stand. HIV positive or negative. If you are negative, good for you, stay that way and spread the awareness to others. You can say to girlfriend/boyfriend, 'Hey! I'm HIV negative and I'm raring to marry you' for example. On the other hand, if you found yourself HIV positive which means you are carrying the disease, please bear in mind that it is good you know it earlier and not spreading it to others. There's treatment for the disease, they haven't find the cure yet but the treatment can slow the disease. If you have contracted the disease, please make sure you control yourself by not spreading it to others. That's the reason why the test is important.

Again, I'm stressing here that I'm not promoting pre-marital sex. I just feel like sharing it to you all because we Malaysian always feel 'this' and 'that' topic is taboo and so sensitive that we prohibited everybody to talk about it and what happen? the problem get worse. So take my advice, say no to pre-marital sex because it may lead you to suffer from HIV/AIDS and it is irreversible. Think before you do anything okay. An hour of happiness and joyful can drive to years and never ending sorrow. And if you wanted to do that badly, please use protection, at least you do your part to limit the numbers contracted with HIV/AIDS every year.

I'm thinking of getting 'Purity Ring' like The Jonas Brothers, haha. C'mon, I ain't no saint.

I Wanna Watch This!

Well, well, well. I have 9 days gap for my next paper so what I do everyday is spending my time in front of my PC, playing games, listening to songs and craving for good movies. I watched 'The Ugly Truth' the other night and it is hillarious!

But the truth is, I miss watching movie at the cinema, good cinema. I miss GSC Queensbay Mall and all I can get here is Jitra Mall Cinema, which is kinda okay (better than nothing). I think I'm craving for horror movies right now, and to watch it in cinema should be good, it will drain the blood out of me. Anyway, what in cinema right now that I wanted to watch is 'Phobia II', a Thai horror movie which I watched the first installment and I shall say it's kinda good. I think I might have the chance to catch it in cinema, but I need someone to accompany me of course!, girls, no less than that.

This movie is something that I really wanted to watch actually. Is there any chance we can watch it in Malaysian cinema? Let's hope it will grace our shore sooner or later, until then, enjoy the trailer first.

Anyone want to accompany me to the cinema?? :-P

Study Season Is On!

Yay! I might be quite late but still wanna wish my friends out there good luck for your final examination. Some of us have already started their exam while some of us still waiting for the glorious date to come. I have a supposedly one free week to study (our study break has been taken to replace the H1N1 emergency break, but the lecturers are smart enough to end the 14 weeks of class a bit earlier, kudos to my lecturers) but I have make myself busy with an event, which we agree to announce it and promise to ourself that it will be our last project. So while I was busy running the project, my fellow friends has started their study earlier and I feel ashamed I only managed to properly start studying on Friday, which is 3 days shy of my first paper. But worry not, nothing to be concerned with, I will try to catch up and look awesomely confident to sit for the papers.Hehe

In case you are wondering, that is a snapshot of how my first official study session went on. We went to a nice place to study, ordered 2 ice coffees (which turn out to be 4), french-fries (double as well), one chicken nugget and one prawn noodle (if I'm not mistaken). So we spent almost four hours there, while she completed almost 10 mind map but I only managed to finish reading 2 articles which is a long way to cover the topics I supposed to finish. But still, I am happy with the session and hope we did it earlier. Way to fun and joyful (albeit it cost us some money, a lot of actually) with the music and environment that can't match my room. Hehe

So good luck for your exam ya, may you excel in your exam. I am pretty sure if you are lost in the exam, once you remember my smile, it will remind you of what you have studied. Ish, tahyul neh. Hehe.

And for my other friends, especially you Shikin and Zyra, may you all pass with flying colors and please pray this examination period will end soon so we can enjoy like before.

I have collected many pictures from various sources for our grand dinner (MPP 08/09)to make a video presentation. I Stumbled across these pictures and I was wondering who she is. In the first picture she suddenly jump into the picture and pose together with us as she is part of our MPP, which is definitely not. In the second picture we took picture with Chi Chung which is from UPM but she appears to be on her way to lecture yet manage to strike a pose in our pic.

So if you know who she is, know her whereabouts, please do let me know because she is still at large and might be dangerous to the crowd as evidence in these two photos. Hehe

TO ASHIKIN: Don't get angry with me okay. It is for fun with no intention to cause distress or tension. Purely joking. The truth is this picture make me smile. This is a proof I know you before we met in Genting and we are meant to be friend. You caught my attention when I overheard that you watched a Man Utd match. I was thinking "COOL". Hehe. The Tale Of U-Turns

Familiar with this road sign? We often encounter it in the middle of congested town. Where people take the u-turn to return to the previous road or take the road that is not accessible before. But we often use it for the first purpose, right?

For some people in some circumstances, there is no way they will take that route again. Why? Because they have been there before, they have faced the problems lies with the route taken, they know well the good and the bad. They have stayed there longer than they should hoping that the bad will one turn good, but it never materialized. There is no turning back. What lies ahead is far more greater and wonderful, so why need to take that torny road again? Some would say. I hope my words goes well with you my friend, zyra. Sorry to dig up this old story but I think it will make a good story. Hehe.

Yeah, in this world, this type of u-turn does also exist. Sometime can and sometime can't, depend on your situation, the circumstances I can say. If you are driving heavy vehicle, you are not allowed to turn but if you only drive a car or a motorcycle, it won't be a problem to make turn. So in life, we often face this kind of situation also. Maybe at first we don't think we will take or will have to take that route again, because of the situation we are in. But after the situation change, we might consider taking that route again, we might be appealed by the chance presented to us, but then again, we have to think carefully, what vehicle we are driving right now. Whether it permits us to take that turn or not.

This is basically what I'm dealing with right now. Hehe.

And the last one, the most look after sign in the road I shall say because we tend to miss the turn earlier on and will look for another juncture to turn back. Or we regret leaving that route and want to make a swift return and hope the route that we leave is still in the good condition and will welcome us. Or we take the turn because the route seems better than what lies ahead or what we have been through. There is no problem to take that turn dear. U-turn is design to cater some purposes, and it seems more positive than negative.And it seems to suit you well now, and we are 100% behind you. Don't afraid, no matter what happen, you always have something to fall back into, and we promise you we will never let you down, always there. So for Shikin, this entry is for you. Hehe.

So, that's all. I have been thinking about putting this down since Aidilfitri, now only have the chance and resource to write it down. For my 2 friends (Zyra and Shikin), I put the story of you two just to make this entry more dramatic (~~I'm a drama queen, remember?~~). Do let me know if this entry doesn't go well with you ok.

Starting from 30TH September 2009 until 5TH October 2009, I have make myself busy by joining this activity. Basically being held twice a year, this expo is being held in conjunction with the convocation. Last semester I was in Activities Bureau and this year I go down the ladder a bit by being in the Sports & Recreation Bureau, under Activities Bureau. But it doesn't mean I have less work, because this time around I handle a sport event, which is 'Kejohanan Golf IPT UUM'. Yes, a golf tournament by a person who has yet to swing the golf iron. Hehe. Anyhow, I think we have managed to successfully organized it and I have the bragging right to tell everybody that Tan Sri VC attend and participate in my event, not so many people have reach that level. Hehe

So tonight is the night. The last night of EKUUM 22 2nd session and also the night where we (MPPUUM 08/09) will be in charge in our last big event. There will be lots of memories tattoed in my heart and my mind for the past 12 months with this group of people. I have gained a lot (experience, friends, weight!) by involving in MPP and I think this is the best thing ever happen to me so far.

So make sure you make yourself present tonight. It will be a night to be remember. Don't miss out and enjoy the night! I'm sure I will. Hehe

Swing Swing. We love to swing. The feelings, the joy, the excitement, everything.

Swing Swing. We love the swing. we choose to swing the swing because we wanted to be happy, to feel the breeze, to enjoy the moment, to be exhilarated and so on and so forth.

Swing Swing. We swing slowly, getting momentum, slowly picking up the pace and in no time we are already half flying, above the ground swinging back and forth, letting our mind off the hook, just enjoying the moment of greatness, however, it might be temporary.

Swing Swing. When we are above the ground for a while, we might get tired, we get bored of swinging, we might started to get dizzy. The excitement is now gone, the exhilaration dissappear, the happiness is slowly fading away.

Swing Swing. The pace is getting slower. The swing loss the momentum, we are nearer to the ground once again. And finally we stop, both feet on the ground. Everything is gone...

1Malaysia F1 Team @ Lotus F1 Team

Whew, I am astounded when I first read the news. Suddenly the news come out and for me it is something out of the blue because I am not aware that a Malaysian team has submit an entry to join F1 race next year, and has been accepted in the 13th grid, the last confirm list for the team entry. (The 14th will be reserved to BMW-Sauber team).Click Here

According to www.formula1.com, the team name is Lotus F1 Team, owned by 1Malaysia F1 Team Sdn Bhd and will be lead by Tony Fernandes (Founder of Malaysian-based Tune Group. This team is a joint venture of Malaysian Government and private sectors in Malaysia. Mike Gascoyne will be the Technical Director with his vast experience in motor racing previously working with Jordan, Renault, Toyota, Spyker and most recently Force India. The car will be powered by Cosworth engine and the team will be based in Norfolk, some 10 miles from the Lotus Cars factory in Eastern England. The drivers are not yet finalised but they have already shorlisted few people to drive the cars, local and international drivers.

Enough of the data, I think you guys can read from the news portal or from newspaper tomorrow onwards. I am still quite shock and at the same time excited because there will be a Malaysian team competing in one of the most expensive sports in the world. I had goosebumps when I watched Alex Yoong claims the chequered flag for the first time in A1 GP few years ago. And to watch the Malaysian team in F1 is very interesting indeed.

Some might says this is absurd. To pour the hard earned cash in this sporting events is such a waste of money. (Remember the issues of sending the astronaut??) There will be lots of people will disagree with this move and will highlight that we can do more with the money to improve the living of the Malaysian than to put our name in the F1 map. Sure, this sports cost a bomb, and even the big companies like BMW and HONDA had pull off from the competition because they can't sustain the cost to survive in this game. And there will be a debate about how good we can perform in this unfamiliar game and can we compete with the top guns.

For me, this move is nothing but a wise move. It may sound absurd but remember when Tun Mahathir launch the idea of having our own world class F1 circuit? It was a very absurd idea also but it is now known as a masterpiece. We must think the unthinkable and do the absurd thing if we want to breaktrough from the norm and achieve great things. By having the right person in charge, which is for me Tony Fernandez is the right person to lead this team we are confident this team will scale the new height. We Malaysian loves to be pesimistic, often look on the negative aspects FIRST before we think about the positive one. With this mentality I am sure we won't go far. So lets pray this project will be successful and maybe we can see our own Jazeman or Fairuz Fauzi on the podium!

(Oh anyway, the design is quite out, maybe it is just a prototype or for souvenir purpose, but if that design vrooming on the circuit, I won't have any problem to cheer them on and proudly says it is our car)

Hello there! How are you doing? Waiting for my new post? I'm pretty mess up right now. I have nothing much to put in here also. I am not poetic neither artistic, so without a good story, I am nothing actually. And here I am without anything to tell. Actually I have been writing an entry, which I been writing for quite sometimes, since early August yet I just can’t finish it. I’ll try to find the will the finish it anyway. A sneak peak: it’s a story about me and the girl I’m chasing after, but because we have an issue unresolved right now, so I put the story to bed first.

‘Meter’ directed by Lim Benji starring Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ), Amber Chia, Jason Lo, Baki Zainal, Matthew George and Namewee.

I can’t recall where I encounter this film first, yet after I watched it I found it interesting. This is one of those short film from ’15Malaysia’ (http://www.15malaysia.com) Click the link and found out yourself how these brilliant filmmakers portray Malaysia from their point of view. I have already watch Chocolate by Yasmin Ahmad and Potong Saga by Ho Yuhang. I can’t help but to admire their creativity and talent in giving us simple yet meaningful definition of Malaysia. High on my list are James Lee and Amir Muhammad arts. I’m still downloading though; hope can watch it real soon and share with you guys. Anyway, back to the film above, what make it interesting is the guest star is none other than our infamous KJ, he surely can act, which make me rather uncomfortable being lead by him (Sapela pandai-pandai undi dia). No doubt about that and he is talking about something related to him (FAM anyone?) which I found rather amusing. And the one that make me still awake now is the ending of the film. What is the director tries to convey? By putting KJ and the Kris? Giving away because he has more at his disposal? Think people think and don’t forget to drop your comments. Let’s discuss.

Anyway, this is my first attempt to blog like others blog. Before this my entry is like essay for final exam, but now I want to post something that is very fresh and where people can relate to. The most important thing is the reader can finish reading in less than 10 minutes. Hehe. But I will still write long-long winded story if I have the story because I love giving out details! Sadly You Are Not Mine Anymore....

Hi everybody? How’s life treating you? Like shit?? Well honey, I don’t want to sound cliché, but that’s life. Hehe. Anyway, this entry is about my former girlfriend, who was celebrating her birthday on 28 July (yesterday). I meant to write it yesterday but maybe not in the mood yet, maybe. Just wanted to be fair because I never write a word about her in this blog during my time with her, not because she is not that special but my time with her was very wonderful I don’t know how to put in words. =]

I knew her around the month of April 2008, we texted each other. Actually, I don’t really like her at the first place. We were only friend, yet she always bugged me to reply her message and the most annoying thing she did was calling early in the morning and woke me up, when I usually just had my sleep (I usually start sleeping after Subuh during that time). She is so annoying that I decided to stop contacting her, not once but twice! But she managed to sneak back to my life, with her charm of course.

After being friend for some times, the feelings started to creep in. I was single and started to feel comfortable with her. To my surprise, I was addicted to her. I am addicted to things that she does to me, the one I feel annoyed early one. I think she is just plain sweet and I want to be with her. So I proposed to her on 18th June 2008 and she accepts it. We were an item since that =].

I was on my holiday and she was just finishing her study. We were so free of anything and we often meet up at that time. We went to Penang and Sungai Petani, watching movies, eat together, have fun, laugh, sing. We were so happy! I was on cloud nine, I love her so much and I don’t have to ask her to know that she felt the same way too. Sometimes we had some fights, but we managed to get through it all. Even though we had some differences in certain issues but we often try our best to compliment each other. I was in love before, but her love for me seems so pure, so strong that I rarely have a doubt on us. I brought her back to my house to meet my family on ‘Hari Raya’ and yes, my family was so happy with my choice. Everything seems to be going on very fine. =]

The problems start to surface when she got a job in Putrajaya and I started to become quite busy because of my involvement in student activities in the university. We were far, at first we can cope, but after some times, she appears unable to tolerate my busy schedule. She demanded to be treated like before, like early in our relationship where we can text each other from morning until midnight, where I can spend the rest of my day sharing our feeling together. It’s getting impossible because of our circumstances, it’s not I don’t want to do it, but because I can’t do it. I don’t blame you honey, I know how you feel. I know how girls want to be treated but I begged you to stay with me, to bear with me, share the good and oh-not-so good moments.

We fought quite a lot, the words ‘break-up’ were frequent, and we seem divided. But I tried my best to bring back the happiness, the sweetness of our love. I do all I can and never wanted to surrender; I have made my decision and will stick with it. I want her to be my WIFE. Then lightning struck, when one day there was an accident where she knew I betrayed her. True, I betray her trust, definitely my fault, my biggest fault, my only fault and I deeply regretted it. FYI, it’s between us only and doesn’t involve any party. This was between us and I admitted it was my fault. She didn’t take it lightly, just like I expected. She was upset and very angry with me. I apologized, she said she can forgive me but never forget what I did to her. =[

Since that moment, even though we were still couple, her treatment towards me started to deteriorate. Hardly reply my message or return my call. Started to call me names or ‘awak –saya’ rather than what we used to call each other. I was so heartbroken, so sad but I understand she was devastated on what I did to him and she needs time. I go along with her, try to win her heart back, do everything I can do to make sure I don’t lose my future wife. At the same time, I was struck with heavy fever for about 2-weeks and I feel so sad because she wasn’t there for me, I was alone. She knew I was so sick yet she treated me like I am nobody to her. I know it was my fault, but I just hope she can forgive me and back to me when I really needed her love, care and attention.

So after 2 weeks, she was still like that, or I can say her treatment towards me getting worse. So I decided to throw my final dice. I arranged for a bouquet of red flowers to be delivered to her office with a card saying ‘I’m deeply sorry, I need you’. And I said to myself ‘this is it, if she’s not okay after this effort I will stop trying’. I was so sick at the moment that I can barely go to class. On the day she is about to receive the flower, I received a message from her saying ‘saya rasa saya dah tak sayang awak lagi la’. I was so sad, nearly broke in tears in my moral class after receiving that message. How could she say that? She did receive the flower but her response was ‘benda yang awak hantar dah sampai, kenapa awak buat camnie?’ and I am out of my words to tell you my feelings at that moment.

So after that, I have decided to let her go. I know she still loves me but for her, her ego conquers all and she rather lose me than lowering her ego. When I say ‘we are breaking up’ she said ‘okay’ and that’s it, everything is gone. I was admitted to Hospital Jitra after that, I was carrying dengue fever for all the while and painfully suffering it on my own without the one I love.

So now, she is happy with her life. Got a brand new boyfriend after 2-3 days we broke up. Later she confessed to me that she simply accept that proposal just to make me suffer even more. Astonishingly she wants me back but after I asked what she will do to her current boyfriend, she has no answer for that. Even though my heart is craving for her and my love towards her is undeterred, I told her ‘you have broken my heart, make me suffer, so let it only be me who is suffering, you don’t have to include him in this story, just stay with him and forget me please, we should be fine’.

So that is, my story and her. I promised her when we were together ‘I Love You, and will always do’. I stick to my words because I still love her. But I just laid it to rest and hopefully it won’t affect my life that much. I don’t know how many times I weep my tears while writing this entry but actually it doesn’t as bad as when I was trying to forget her (I’m a major weeper!). Now it is almost 5 month since we go separate ways and I’m trying to enjoy my life. I think I do well. Hehe.

For Azah, thanks for the care, the love, the attention, everything I have never feel before. You have brought to the moon; we enjoy our time before you let me fall on earth with unexplainable pain. You have shown me how it feels to love and to be loved and I will never ever forget you, ever. So on this pleasant day, I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday, even though I don’t call or text you but I want you to know that there is never a day in my life without reminiscing your smile that once I own..

.....an evening in BALI!

It seems ages since I last post an entry. And I think I have lost some (or all!) my avid readers. Thousands and millions apologize for all of you. I hope I will find the passion to write again after this. Thanks for all the supports so far okay. Now I will try to narrate my experience in Bali which I pay a visit recently for a convention organized by UUM. (It’s getting boring Udin, spice it up!)

Allow me to skip the first day of us there. Because it was rather plain and nothing. Kinda cliche if i write it out here. So the fun started on the 2nd day there and our last evening there before jetting back to Malaysia. On that afternoon, we were given time to 'jalan-jalan' in Bali, mainly in Kuta area where we were situated.

The organizer plans to take all of us to one so-called shopping area in Bali where we can buy stuff. So they provide us with a bus and take us there. We were given about 3 hours to shop there. The place is not that big, and I personally was not satisfied with that place. But I still spent quite lots of money there, just buying shirts and dresses for all my 'anak-anak' (nieces and nephews la!'. I am so happy that for the 1st time i managed to buy attires to all my 7 nieces and nephews. What an achievement. Hehe. After spending some time and money there, we went back to our hotel and this is where the fun begun!

Most of us decided that it was not enough and planning to go out again. And this time on our own. We went out again, walking in a big group. Some of us wanted to eat, but some clearly not interested to eat. I rather hungry than spending my precious and limited time to search for food stall (then doubting to eat the food). After walking without direction for a while, some of us decided it was too tiring to walk and decided to go back to hotel. Astalavista bebeh, don't you know it is very hard to be there yet you were complaining of tiredness? So now our group become smaller and have one thing in mind, DISCOVER BALI NIGHTLIFE!!

Not what I expected actually. When the clock hits 11 P.M, the street getting quieter and most of the shops, bars and stalls were closing down. A far cry from another Asean tourist attraction, Phuket where the night life is rather 5 times more happening than Bali. Okay, back to our story. After sheltering from raining in a bar where we drinks Fanta for 9 000 Rupiah = Rm 3 (we paid 10 000 Rupiah, keep the change) we began strolling down the street. I was wondering, "where are we heading". Then suddenly "massage jom!" followed by "jom!!!" from all of us. Hehe. We found one massage center and we entered. It was enjoyable experience to get massage from Bali. It is so cheap. As you may see, we were enjoying the massage and worry not, the 'tukang picit' are men. Hehe.

After massaging, our feet feel so light and we were ready to walk thousand miles again. Not far from that is the famous Kuta Beach where Asean surfer hone their talent of surfing there. The beach is very beautiful. Actually we saw something very shocking and new for us there. We were so focus on the event until we forgot to snap a picture. That was an eye opening for me, really. After that, we end up in front of the famous Hard Rock Cafe Bali and frantically snapping for photos. Let me share some of it.

We arrived in our hotel at about 3.30 A.M and we sleep with a smile on oor face. What an experience!

The Day I Thought I Never Get Through... I Get Over You

Well well well, hello and hi to everybody. I have not written for quite a long time, maybe because I was very busy with assignments, quizzes, projects, girls…. Aha, the last one is up for argument. Hehe. Anyway, on top of this page you can see the title and yes, it is about her, again. Don’t worry; there is a little ‘X’ button on the top right corner of this page and you can roll over your cursor, and click and this page will disappear in no time. But if you want to know what is going on with me, you can read this entry until the end and please leave your comment after that.

What an introduction! Okay, moving on to the story. Well, by the start of the year, I was already thinking about her birthday in April, 13th April to be precise. When April arrived, I can’t stop thinking about her birthday. Last year, I managed to wish her ‘Happy Birthday’ via a phone call after trying for quite some times. How about this year? Shall I call her to wish her ‘Happy Birthday’ again? Yup, that was what I planned to do. But unfortunately, to may dismay, she has changed her number for GOD knows how many time already and there is no way I can contact her. So what did I do? I asked my friend in Jakarta, Marini (Thanks for you support, Mar) to forward me her friend’s number who happen to study in the same university with Intan. I messaged him and asked him to do me a favour. He replied, and sent me Intan’s phone number, but he stated that Intan knew that he was trying to get her number for someone and she was clearly unhappy. I bet she might be unhappy to know that I was the one who wanted her number badly. Anyway, thank you so much Mr.Fariz. Sadly, the number that he gave me is Intan’s old number, so it’s not helping. Anyway, thanks for your help pal, appreciate it.

I was not giving up. Next I turn to students’ most visit webpage in Internet, Friendster. I managed to find their batch’s group and open some of her friends’ page. There are about 40 of them. To my surprise, there is one girl, who is her course mate is in relationship with my old schoolmate. So I contacted my friend, to ask her girl about Intan’s phone number. Within a day, he sent me her phone number. Her birthday was approaching, so I asked Mar again to miss call that number to make sure it is in service and yes, it is in service so I’m convince that is Intan’s phone number. So I waited until her birthday to come to call her.

Okay, it was 0058 Malaysia time. I called her when it turns 0100, so in Bandung, it was 0000, 13 April 2008. I tried several time, but what I heard was, ‘Harap maaf, nomor yang anda dail salah’. Well, it’s quite tricky, so I tried several times, yet to no avail. After trying for a while, I decided to give up, this is the sign from above to stop it, it’s not worth it Udin. Then I slept, with heavy heart, but deep in the bottom of my heart I’m grateful because I think that was the moment, the turning point of my life, that I can live without thinking of her.

So, this is it. No more story about Intan after this, unless she appears back in my life. I won’t hunt her anymore, won’t try to plan any adventurous trip to Bandung anymore, and won’t tell this story to anyone anymore. Never
